BKI Terrorist Parminder Pindi Extradited from UAE to India

A prominent Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist, Parminder Singh alias Pindi, has been extradited from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India, confirmed a senior Punjab Police officer on Saturday. This extradition marks a significant achievement in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the region.

Parminder Singh has emerged as a key figure within BKI, closely linked to notorious foreign-based terrorists Harwinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Passia. The accomplished police operation that led to his extradition involved meticulous coordination between Indian Central agencies and UAE law enforcement.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav stated that on September 24, a specialized four-member police team traveled to the UAE specifically to oversee the extradition process. Yadav emphasized that they acted swiftly upon a Red Corner Notice (RCN) issued by the Batala police, which highlighted Pindi’s involvement in grievous offenses.

Pindi stands accused of numerous heinous crimes, including multiple petrol bomb attacks and violent assaults in Batala, located within Gurdaspur district. Additionally, he has a history of extortion that has plagued the local community.

After completing all necessary legal formalities, the dedicated police team successfully brought him back to face the full force of Indian justice. Yadav expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between the police forces and international authorities, which played a pivotal role in this operation.

This extradition represents a crucial part of Punjab’s ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and address terrorism in the region. As security forces continue to tackle such threats, similar operations signal a commitment to maintaining law and order.

Experts indicate that the success of this operation could lead to further international collaborations in apprehending terrorists seeking refuge outside India. The recent developments highlight the effectiveness of law enforcement in acting decisively against individuals who contribute to regional instability.

With the legal proceedings now set to unfold, the Punjab Police urge the public to remain vigilant and assist in providing information about any suspicious activities related to terrorism.
