Bandipora, 30 September: J&K BJP President Sat Sharma has accused Congress, National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other political entities of perpetuating opportunist politics that have harmed both regional and national development.
During the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, organized as part of the ongoing Seva Parv commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Sharma made these statements against the backdrop of the INDI alliance’s political maneuvers.
Sharma addressed an audience that included J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan, Secretary Arif Raja, and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan. He leveled strong accusations against the INDI alliance partners for their history of nepotism, corruption, and self-serving politics, claiming that they have subjected Jammu & Kashmir to a cycle of despair.
“For decades, these dynastic parties thrived on exploiting power for personal gain,” said Sharma. “Their politics of convenience has left our youth with crushed aspirations, while they luxuriate in the spoils of their positions.”
Contrasting the negative impact of these parties, Sharma highlighted PM Modi’s transformative governance, which he credits with bringing about unprecedented transparency and accountability in the region. Since 2014, Modi’s administration has engaged in extensive infrastructure development, introduced economic reforms, and prioritized social justice for marginalized communities.
Sharma stated, “The difference between the empty promises made by the INDI alliance and the substantial achievements under the Modi government is stark and evident to all citizens.” He asserted that Modi’s vision for ‘New India’ reflects a path toward sincere and impactful governance.
During the event, Anwar Khan emphasized the Namo Exhibition as a curated display of Prime Minister Modi’s milestones, showcasing his commitment and sacrifice for the nation. He remarked, “This exhibition is a testament to the vision that the INDI alliance fails to embody, which is steeped in corruption and betrayal.”
Mudassir Farooq Jan echoed these sentiments, claiming that under Modi’s leadership, India and J&K have gained a renewed identity on the global stage. He asserted the BJP’s commitment to spreading awareness of these achievements to the public.
The criticisms from Sharma and his colleagues reflect the BJP’s broader strategy to reclaim the narrative around development and governance in Jammu & Kashmir, especially as the region prepares for future electoral challenges.
