AUG 28: A man succumbed to head injuries in hit-and-run incident near the Old Bus Stand in the Batamaloo area of Srinagar on Thursday.
An unidentified vehicle hit the man who was riding a motorcycle near the Old Bus Stand in the Batamaloo area and immediately fled from the spot.
The locals of the areas shifted injured man to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead by doctors.
As per the reports, the deceased has been identified as Farooq Ahmed Bhat a resident of Khawaja Pora area of Nowgam, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain cause of the accident.
