Tarun Chugh Criticizes Farooq Abdullah on Operation Sindoor

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh launched a vehement attack on National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday. Chugh denounced Abdullah’s comments that disparaged Operation Sindoor, stating that they undermined the vital role of security forces in Jammu & Kashmir.

Chugh’s remarks followed Abdullah’s claim that Operation Sindoor had “not achieved anything.” Chugh, referring to this assertion as “shameful,” emphasized the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces, particularly after the tragic deaths of 26 civilians in Pahalgam due to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

The BJP leader reiterated that Operation Sindoor remains an ongoing initiative, stressing that the recent blast at Nowgam Police Station serves as a stark reminder of the bravery exhibited by security forces confronting Pakistan-backed terror operations.

Chugh did not hold back, stating that the Abdullah family, along with the Muftis and the Gandhi family, routinely “play into the hands of Pakistan and the ISI.” He found it particularly shocking that Farooq Abdullah would question the integrity and efficacy of security forces while they actively thwarted significant terror plots in the region.

In a direct challenge to Abdullah, Chugh inquired whether he was attempting to show sympathy for individuals involved in accumulating 2,900 kilograms of explosives intended for mass civilian casualties. He highlighted the colossal scale of the foiled terror plot, which could have led to devastating consequences if not intercepted by the Jammu & Kashmir Police and intelligence agencies.

The Nowgam Police Station blast resulted in the tragic loss of nine police personnel while handling the seized explosives. Chugh shared that this incident resonated as “heartbreaking for the entire nation,” underscoring the gravity of the sacrifices made by security forces.

In his statements, Chugh accused Farooq Abdullah of neglecting the sacrifices of the martyrs, using this poignant moment to “propagate the language of Pakistan.” Chugh expressed disappointment that instead of lauding the heroism that saved numerous lives, Abdullah opted to echo sentiments aligned with the Pakistani Army and the ISI.

This exchange not only highlights the prevailing political tensions in Jammu & Kashmir but also calls into question the accountability of prominent political figures. Chugh’s comments bring to light concerns over the so-called ‘Gupkar Gang’, prompting inquiries into whether Congress, including Rahul Gandhi, supports such views while advocating for their “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan” political agenda.

As the region continues to grapple with the complexities of security and politics, the discourse surrounding Operation Sindoor and the roles of various political entities remains crucial. Tarun Chugh’s staunch defense of security forces aims to rally public support for their ongoing efforts to tackle terrorism and maintain peace in Jammu & Kashmir.
